EGHS Support for Families

We are thankful for all those who have reached out to offer support for the families of our EGHS students.

Please use this website to share with those asking for ways to support!

Our Wildcat family grieves today. Yesterday evening, we lost four young men to a terrible car accident and a fifth young man was critically injured.

In response to last night’s news, Eastern Guilford High School and Guilford County Schools’ students, staff, and families have shown a tremendous outpouring of love and encouragement for the families of the young men. While we desperately wish we were together to help each other through this tragedy, we know there is still power in numbers through love, prayer, and support. Our community remains unified as a family and we will move forward remembering these young men with pride and admiration.

If you or someone you know need help, please know that it is available. Counselors and support staff will be at school this week if you need to speak with someone. We have also posted resources on the school’s website.

The next steps of this process will be overwhelmingly difficult for those impacted. We do not have the words to ease all the pain that resonates in our families and community, but we do know that we will get through this together.

We are Wildcat strong.
