My wife Chaney Eggemeyer broke her ankle and leg 8 weeks ago. After her 4 week appointment she started running very high fever. We went to doctors and couldnt find a reason. She was finally admitted to the Yoakum Hospital. At this point she started developing pneumonia. Two days later she was transferred to Detar in Victoria. She stayed there for nearlt 2 weeks and was life flighted to Memorial Hermann in Houston. She has been there over a week and is fighting for her life. Her lungs are very sick and she is on a machine called ECMO. They are telling me that she has months before she will recover. After her lungs recover she will need extensive physical therapy. I am off of work and staying with her in Houston. As everyone knows it is expensive to stay in a hotel and eat in Houston for months. Not to mention the medical bills we will have when it it over.
