Hi! My name is Kazu, I'm an egg performer based in Berlin, Germany. I'm showing my solo musical performance Egg War Berlin in November at Berliner Ringtheater. To help the production, I'm calling for donations!

Egg War Berlin is a solo-musicla performance with a projected animated and live music. It's with a cute and silly egg animation, but the theme is quite serious. It's about minorities in our society.

It sets in the world where eggs and humans co-exist in a big city. Eggs are humanized and intelligent, but as relatively new members of society, their rights are limited.

Only handful numbers of eggs can provide their mother chicken certificate, a piece of paper which says which chicken you're born from. Without this, no registration at the civic center is possible. They can't take this anymore. It's time for EGG RIGHTS MOVEMENT!

But eggs are so frigile. They can't simply fight against humans. So some eggs are for radical measures, some want to take more conservative way, and this creates comflict within this minority group. and drama!

I grew up in a region and time when being queer was not so ok. I've closeted for many years until I lived abroad for the first time. I felt liberated not needing to hide or lie, and learned why activism matters. But there I was a foreigner. I experienced a lot of problems just to live normally, just be recognized by the system, just to get counted as a member of society. And when you're not expected from the system, seemingly easy things get so hard to achieve. Who would expect you can't open a bank account or buy a sim card? The world is suddenly tying to make you stumble on every step you walk!

So these are what Egg War is all about. It's a story about big and small struggles of the marginalized. From the systematic alienation to everyday life surviving. It's an ongoing and experimental work of depicting a story of the most frigile being fight for the rights. I want to imagine the possibility of navigating activism when the world is so violent, through the perspective of ones with the fragile bodies.

And I want to make it very comedic so that we can all laugh at how absurd the our world is, and hopefully it would be a chance for people to imagine the issues that some members of society is having which one is not yet seeing.

Egg War is very close to my heart and I really want present it well. And I've got a chance to show it in the big city berlin! With an amazing collective-run Berliner Ringtheater where they focus stories with queer-feministic and decolonial perspectives. It's finally a perfect stage for the eggs! But the production is getting so expensive. The performances goes on over two weeks, total 6 shows. The biggest production I ever have. That's why I ask you for support. Even a small tipping will be so helpful.

Here is what the money will be used: rental and transportation of the piano, printing of flyers and posters, distribution, advertisement, payment for design/technitian/PR/cameraman/assistant etc, props and equipments, making goods, and so on. The money will all goes to the production cost, not to Berliner Ringtheater nor to my personal pocket.
