Eagle Glebe Cricket Club, proudly based in Eagle Farm and Glebe Farm within Wavendon Parish, has grown into a thriving community cricket club in just over two years. From humble beginnings, we now run:

• A senior adult team

• Two youth teams

• Our flagship adult tournament – the Eagle Cup

• Our junior tournament – the Wavendon Cup

Our mission is simple: to give children, young people, and adults the chance to enjoy the joy, discipline, and community spirit that cricket brings.

Why We Need Your Help

With the incredible support of our parish council chairman, Councillor David Hopkins—an active cricketer and passionate advocate for local sport—we have the opportunity to revive the cricket square at Wavendon Recreation Ground.

The square has been unused for several years and needs professional restoration, including:

• Levelling and relaying the wicket

• Soil preparation and specialist turf work

• Purchase of maintenance equipment

• Safety and match-day setup (boundary flags, sight screens, covers, etc.)

Restoring this square will give our young players a true home ground, allow us to host league matches, expand our junior programme, and bring cricket back to the heart of Wavendon.
