Egbert Ortega- Hit by Motorcycle

Hello Everyone, yesterday on August 12th, my wife and I, Hailey were perusing a discipleship opportunity in Manton, Michigan. During our time here with community and sharing the gospel, I was in an accident where I was hit by a motorcycle going 45-50 mph as a pedestrian. God is absolutely incredible and truly protected me during the collision from how much worse it could have been.

From the accident I endured a compound fracture. My lower left leg bones (fibula and tibula) snapped and were exposed. From the impact my left hip was as well fully dislocated. After the accident I was emitted to the hospital for an emergency surgery in my left leg and relocation of my hip.

The process of recovery will have me staying in the hospital here in Michigan for the next 4-5 days before flying back home. I ask you for prayers for me and my wife as this is months of healing and recovery ahead.

We are in a place where I don’t have any medical insurance. So we ask that if God puts it on your heart to cheerfully give this link is the best way to do so.
