Whitney and Andrew welcomed Lucy Nicole, 7lbs 11oz on Nov 13 at 3:53 am. After a very long and intense labor, with no progression, baby Lucy's heart rate dropped dangerously low and Whitney was admitted for an emergency c-section. Lucy was born unresponsive, not breathing, with meconium in her lungs. After 40 long minutes of resuscitation and suctioning her lungs, she was placed on a ventilator because she could not breath on her own. Lucy is strong and fighting hard but she is very sick. She has tubes and IV's running everywhere and is currently sedated and still on a ventilator, with a long road ahead.
The last few days have been a rollercoaster of emotions. Many have asked how they can help. With missing work and unexpected hospital bills, please join me in supporting this sweet family of three as they embark on baby Lucy's path to recovery.
Any size donation will help to ease the financial burden of the incurred medical costs. If you are unable to donate, your thoughts and prayers are also much appreciated!
Please share to help spread the word.
