Cancer treatment

It is with a heavy heart that I am coming to you. Shay has been diagnosed with stage 4 Metastatic Melanoma Lung and Chest Cancer. This has all come as a shock and was discovered quite by accident. He had a CT scan for stomach issues and in the process they caught the bottom of his lungs and found a mass. In the whirlwind of doctor appointments, tests and biopsies they have determined that he has stage 4 metastatic melanoma lung and chest cancer. Even with health insurance we have accumulated $5k in co-pay and deductible payments already. We are looking towards a lymph node biopsy and multiple surgeries in addition to at least a year of immunotherapy. Anything and even if its many prayers is greatly appreciated.

UPDATE: we saw Shay’s oncologist today and the tentative plan is immunotherapy for 6 weeks, surgery on his right lower lobe of his lung and surgery to remove tissue from his left pectoral area to remove the affected tissue. In the meantime he wants Shay to consult with an expert on metastatic melanoma due to the unique nature of his melanoma. We will keep you informed. Thank you for all the support.
