A Helping Hand

To my caring community,

My name is Dolores Klages. My husband and I moved to San Diego in 1998. We have been renting a small apartment, and making ends meet through our joint social security. This past year has been a challenge as I have dealt with both my own health issues as well as my husband’s terminal illness. Unfortunately, my husband lost his terminal illness battle in August. While working through the grief of that loss, I have also been trying to juggle how to make ends meet without his social security. I am hoping to buy enough time to clear the apartment, and go through our things, getting rid of most, and making repairs on my car, so that I can drive to Indiana to live near relatives.

A friend suggested a GoFundMe might help supplement my 6 month apartment lease, in order to buy me the time I need, as well as help finance my car repairs, and handle additional costs (moving, driving across country, additional bills).

Any support you can provide would be greatly appreciated. This is not an easy ask for me, but I also have minimal resources at this time. Thank you in advance for any help that can be provided.
