Hello, family and friends. My name is Nicole, and today I reach out to you with a heavy heart and compassion. My dearest friend, Jeanell Allenegui and her brother Jon Allenegui, recently experienced the loss of their beloved father, Efren, on May 14, 2023. During the last few years, Efren battled rapid dementia and related health complications. I have created this GoFundMe campaign to extend our support to Jeanell and her family and help alleviate the financial burden of the funeral expenses placed upon them.

Of all my years knowing Jeanell, I have witnessed extraordinary empathy and sacrifice for her parents' wellbeing. To care for not only one, but two parents suffering from dementia simultaneously is physically and emotionally draining, especially at our age to experience. After years of functioning as a caretaker in her own home, Jeanell and her growing family were forced to seek advanced care for her parents, inflicting an immense strain on the family's resources.
