Efrain is an awesome member of our community  and has been working  with us as a cook at Novo Restaurant in downtown San Luis Obispo, CA for over 5 years.  Efrain is a hard worker, always has a smile on his face and enjoys being with his team.  When he is not at work he spends all of his time with his wife, Benita and  their 4 children, Anna, Alexa, Andrea, and Christian.  He loves baseball...watching and playing! 

On March 2nd Efrain suddenly became paralyzed on one half of his body.  His daughter Anna found him and immediately called for help.  At the hospital they discovered a blood clot in his brain which caused  a stroke and then paralysis.   He remains in hospital under supervision as the professionals continue to care for and aid in his long recovery. 

We are currently awaiting an official diagnosis and prognosis and will keep this community updated as we know more!  This will involve innumerable medical tests including an MRI all of which (as we all know) are incredibly expensive!  Anything you can chip in to help will quite literally help save the life and livelihood of a great and well-deserving family.  

We internally (as a restaurant) are doing as much as we possibly can for him but his needs and his condition are greater than what we can do on our own. We're looking to our community for support on his behalf.

We are starting this GoFundMe  in support of him and his family to help with the financial stress that sudden severe illness can  cause.   When debilitating illness like this happens, the income stops, but the bills do not, and in fact get much worse!  We are hoping that our community can come together to help this family!
