Justice for Zoey

Many of you have seen that our baby girl Zoey was brutally attacked and taken from us this weekend. We are devastated by not only the loss of our girl, but even more so by the horrific way that she died. Our family is consumed by pain and suffering right now, but we are trying our best to cope. With that being said, this entire ordeal has taken a tremendous financial toll on my dad (Jamie Stokes) on top of the emotional trauma. Zoey's emergency surgery cost upwards of $2400. Additionally, we aim to take legal action against those responsible for what happened to her. We want justice and unfortunately, a lawyer is also going to cost roughly $2000 or more. On top of that, my dad's house is in ruins with reminders of what happened all over the place. The physical damage to the carpet is haunting. I'd like to help him be able to get those reminders out of his home and start new, but again this will cost us. With no guarantee of winning our case, I thought friends and family may be willing to help out. If you can give anything at all, we would be so grateful and we have deeply appreciated all of the kind words. <3

My amazing dad with a heart of solid gold has notified me that if we win the lawsuit and get reimbursed for all of the damage done, he will be donating the money that was raised through the gofundme to Zoi's Animal Rescue. Zoi's is where we adopted Zoey and of course that's where she got her name as well. It will be a donation in her honor that we hope and pray we can make. We are overwhelmed by the generosity and are so thankful for the kindness of you all. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.
