Medical/Travel Bills for Baby

This is for baby Paulette-Melanson. He has not been born yet, and has been diagnosed with Transposition of the Great Arteries (TGA). In TGA, the “great” arteries are reversed in their origins from the heart—exactly the opposite of the normal heart’s anatomy. While very serious, TGA is treatable surgically. He also has a ventrivular septal defect (a hole in his heart), in addition to a few other things. Unfortunately, Calgary is unable to offer the treatment this baby needs. This means that his parents must travel outside of Calgary in order to provide their unborn baby with what he needs to survive. He will be delivered in Edmonton and spend 6-8 weeks in the hospital after his birth and post-heart surgery. His mother will also have to travel to Toronto in order to have fluid drained from his chest while still in her womb. As you can imagine, the travel expenses to provide this will be costly. More importantly, the emotional toll this will take on his parents will be great. BUT, you can help! This is a fundraiser to help pay for various medical and travel expenses for the Paulette's. They already have a 3-year-old boy who is very much looking forward to being a big brother. Please help this couple in giving the best chance their baby can have in this world. Can't donate much?
