On Sunday, 30-April 2023, I will be participating in the Philadelphia Broad Street Run-- running 10 miles in honor and memory of my niece Maren Kaniewski who concluded her valiant battle with pediatric leukemia 5 years ago today.

Apart from simply reaching the finish of what will be my longest organized race since running (a leg of) the Belfast Marathon a few years back, my goal is to raise funds in support of Maren's Fierce Fighters. This is the charity that Maren's parents, Rick and Bridget Kaniewski founded and now lead in Maren's honor -- seeking advances in pediatric cancer/leukemia treatments while also providing support for families of other children facing a similar battle.
