Emergency spinal surgery

My mother was unexpectedly taken into emergency surgery today. The doctors found a lesion on her spinal cord that was causing an infection in her body. This infection caused so much damage to her spinal cord that it ate away at her bone causing her to need an Orthopedic and Spinal specialist to perform her surgery. My mother will be out of work for quite some time, as her being her own source of income it tremendously is going to impact my family financially. She will be unable to leave the ICU until Christmas eve. She has a long journey ahead of her filled with IV treatments, and physical therapy for her to be able to gain back her strength and ability to walk.
