Over the past few months, Britney has faced serious neurological symptoms, multiple hospital visits, and urgent treatments such as steroid infusions for vision loss. MS is a chronic, unpredictable autoimmune condition that affects the brain, spinal cord, and vision. Early access to proper treatment is crucial for slowing down the disease and protecting long-term quality of life. Unfortunately her private insurance doesn’t cover modern treatment for RRMS.

• treatment options which can cost approximately $26,000 - $33,000 per year without coverage

• Brit has been off work since the start of October without sickness pay, help towards bills/ living expenses while she’s off on medical leave

British Columbia is one of the few provinces where access to modern MS medication isn’t consistently funded. Many people like Britney, are left to navigate incredibly high out of pocket costs for treatments that can prevent long-term disability. Britney is leading change and trying to raise awareness to make BC fund critical modern RMSS treatment.
