On Monday September 23rd Shawn Busby passed peacefully in her home overlooking the beautiful sunset surrounded by her family. Earlier this year Shawn was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer. In her wake she leaves Brad (husband), Cally (daughter), A.J. (son), Carden (son).
Throughout her life Shawn and Brad have been successful entrepreneurs and business people. Just recently they achieved their goal of moving to the country and having a plot of land to kick back and relax on. Shawn has always loved the countryside and in her early life enjoyed riding horses for as long as she could. She had the passion and skill to compete in riding events. She also fervently cared for several others and her own hoses. Her daughter Cally shares that trait. She sold a million dollars of inventory in real estate three times. After her children left for college, she began to focus on her personal life even more than she had been and decided to start her own team. She planned on having her son Carden as a buyer's agent and his girlfriend Chachi as her executive assistant. Things had just gotten started for them when Shawn became very sick. The cancer in her lungs made it very difficult for her to breath and pain accompanied it. She suffered a few strokes there after which left her wheel chair bound. But despite this adversity she still pushed to help her clients. She continued to work on real estate with her family. Shawn, determined to continue pushing, went through months of physical therapy to regain the ability to walk and was making great progress when she had fallen and broken her arm, setting her back in her therapy. In the best interest of her clients Shawn had to refer them to other agents. All except one that refused to leave her because she had taken such good care of them. Soon the cancer had mastisised and by now shawn was not only wheelchair bound but also home bound, needing around the clock care. And with a few other medical concerns, things became very difficult for her and her family both physically and emotionally.
Since both Shawn and Brad operated their own businesses there was no corporation to help with the expenses. Which meant Brad now had to work twice as much. Because of the recent move and Shawn's outstanding financial success there was a hole to be filled. Brad, with assistance from his oldest son A.J. who is active military and had to leave soon before his mother passed away, performed with strength and admirability. His wife, bless her heart, always wanted him around because his smile and laughter always infectiously spread to her; however Brad had to work , which was hard for both of them. Since he is a painter that often meant to driving far away to reach big job sites and sometimes overnight.
With two kids in college, medical bills and medication due to many issues with organizing a health insurance plan, along with their recently purchased dream home and many animals that shawn loved dearly, and Shawn's final preparations, any financial help with this situation would be greatly appreciated. God bless you all and hug your momma or loved ones extra close for us.
