My name is Coral Gerring and I am the Oldest of the two goofballs pictured below. My Dad, Brett Gerring, has recently been faced with some serious medical issues. Brett was taken to Ridgeview in Waconia by ambulance on Wednesday, January 6th. My Dad is in complete liver and kidney failure. He was assessed to be in critical condition and was transferred to the ICU at HCMC in Minneapolis. He is now on dialysis, and they have recently been able to lower the ammonia levels within his body. There is a clot in his liver that is thought to be the cause of all of this, however Brett is not stable enough to receive blood thinners, so doctors cannot remove the clot. While his organs are still failing, He was taken off of life support yesterday afternoon and is now capable of minor communication.
Anyone who knows a Gerring know that they don't give up easy, My dad is fighting with everything he's got!
My family and I remain hopeful and appreciate any prayers that we can get! Anything that comes from this page will go straight to Brett's medical bills, anything helps!
