Please Help Our Family:

CoCo Hunter & My Husband Steve & Myself (Erin) -

Were currently homeless & trying to stay warm which is no easy task when your out in the cold. We lost our home a month ago after falling behind on rent & bills due to My husband being hospitalized for Stage 4 Renal Kidney Failure. People never think that it can happen to them; until it does. We were never rich by any means, barely scraping by living paycheck to paycheck & struggling just like most other people out there…. & then it came creeping in slowly like a thief in the night Steve started out just feeling off, bad headaches, aches & pains, nausea but really thought nothing of it… but the symptoms persisted & started increasingly getting worse. Dizzy spells, couldn’t eat, vommiting all day & then one day he just collapsed. I called 911 & when we got to the hospital they ran tests, did bloodwork & did scans to see what was causing all of this ‍♀️ That’s the day our life was flipped upside down with no warning ‼️ We were told that his kidneys were shutting down & had we waited one more day; Steve would have been dead. Waste was building up in his kidneys causing them to shut down & they said unfortunately that he’s in (Stage 4 Renal Kidney Failure) and the only chance of survival is dialysis. So they kept him for 3 months to try to save his life. ‼️ He lost his job, & shortly after I lost mine & that’s when the downward spiral started. The bills piled up, our rent became to much to keep up with while trying to put food on the table & keep up with the dogs ( food, medication, vet visits) and then we lost our home!!!

We reached out to multiple facilities to try to receive help; but unfortunately they have no funds available and all that could be offered to us was the shelter. With two dogs, unfortunately that’s not even an option because they don’t take animals. CoCo and Hunter aren’t just “Animals” to us… they’re FAMILY ❤️ and giving them up is not an option. We were staying in a tent and did post in a group that we were in need of Assistance & an animal rescue (non profit) reached out & said they could help us if we would be willing to come up to their area which is 2 hours away from where we live.

We were a little reluctant at first, but they offered us:

A Motel Stay

Help with housing

Food

Donations

Medical Needs for the dogs

Medical Help for my husband

And to help us get back on our feet… It should have been a red flag right away when they posted on their page “Our Story” and for ALL DONATIONS to go directly to their accounts. But we trusted them & now here we are. They collected thousands of dollars in donations for us, paid for our stay for a week in a motel (2 hours away) and then suddenly told us that they had reached a point where they could no longer help us & left us stranded. They took advantage of us & used our story, made multiple posts & raised thousands of dollars not to mention all the food & donations that was never given to us They told us their is a “Tent City” in the area and we should go put up our tent and stay there!!!!!!! ‼️

To do this to a struggling homeless family & bank $$$ off of their hardships & sickness and animals in order to raise money and keep it for yourselves is a whole knew level of low!!!!!!!!

So now we are trying to start over & raise funds to get us back into a motel so my husband is able to receive his dialysis & we can provide a warm place for our dogs!!!!!
