Over the past few years we've been experientially and relationally rich-- but not so much on the financial end. A lot of that has had to do with career changes and unexpected expenses. In the midst of this season, Eevee fell in love with music. Specifically, she developed a passion for jazz and concert band, playing the tenor sax.
I didn't want our struggles to effect her passions, so this past Fall, we decided to funnel Eevee's birthday money and Christmas money all together to get a saxophone off of Amazon. Unfortunately, that saxophone has proved to be a dud. Today it finally died on us-- after just five months. Ugh...
We're hoping to replace Eevee's broken sax with a new one that will last her throughout the rest of middle school and high school-- one she can be proud to own and get more and more skilled at playing.
Look, we know it takes a village. One of our friends suggested putting it out there to our friends to offset the significant cost that goes with purchasing a "real" tenor sax.
So we're just putting it out there. As many of you know, I just started my new job in January; and we're just getting caught up on things that we fell behind on. So we're doing what we often tell others to do-- put it out to the world to see what comes back.
Thanks in advance if you give. Eevee's a great kid. I wish I could give her the best on my own, but I'm asking for a little help from our village.
