LSU Brother & Spouse Overcoming ICE Abduction

Donation protected

Greetings,

My name is Pedro Cantor and crossed at the Aztlan Chapter in Texas in Spring 2006.  My spouse was born in Mexico but was brought over at the age of 2.  She completed high school in 3 years with college credits.  During that time, her mom had filed the proper paperwork so that my spouse can receive a working permit, which was granted.  Her working permit had recently expired and we were in the process of renewal.  In Houston, TX (Harris County), the law enforcement departments does not corroborate with ICE.  Any paisano that's here illegally with no criminal record will not be reported to immigration.  Most neighboring counties around us does corroborate with ICE.
On Friday April 26th, 2019, she was picking up dinner from a restaurant at a neighboring county.  She was stopped by Stafford PD(Fort Bend County) in the parking lot of the restaurant because she had forgotten to turn on her headlights.  The officer was about to let her go with a warning until another officer arrived and decided to report her to ICE.  My spouse has no criminal record and hasn't been to Mexico since she was brought over.  They booked her into Fort Bend County jail later on that night.  I went over Saturday morning to try and bail her out but they told me that ICE had her detained.  On Monday April 29, 2019 she was transferred to the ICE detention center in Conroe, TX.  She was held there for three and a half weeks until I was able to post bail.

Those were the toughest three and a half weeks of my life bro.  I had to look for my car because it was towed when she got detained, hire a lawyer, coordinate things out with my 6 year old and 3 year old babysitting/schooling, and take days off for her visitation days.  I spend about $8000 for bail, lawyer fees and commissary.  She was let go from her job for being absent for those three and a half weeks.  Our immigration lawyer is asking for $4500(not including immigration fees) for her services so that my spouse can get her working permit reinstated while her Permanent Residency gets approved.  That also includes her representation for the court dates.  We're pretty tight right now financially after spending so much.  Then, there's another issue that i'm dealing with that's also digging a deeper hole in my pocket.
Any donation is greatly appreciated.
