For my brother

Hi, my name is Raylene I'm Stefs oldest sister. I'm creating this Go Fund Me to help with costs for his services. Words can't describe how tough this is on so many levels. My brother was a bright light, a great friend and a huge support system for alot of us! A bit of back story on his situation is on August 28th 2020 my brother was shot 4 times and almost lost his life. He fought like a soldier! After removing 4 bullets from his shoulder, chest, back and spine doctors realized that one of the bullets came within inches of his heart. Another bullet hit his lungs and collapsed it leaving him without the ability to breath on his own. Now the worst one the reason he would struggle the most! Doctors realized he was hit on his spine this caused a major spinal cord injury leaving him paralyzed from the chest down. Chances of him ever walking again were slim to none ( Doctors words) hearing that broke my heart in two so I can only imagine what it did to him. He had to live with the fact his life was changed forever and I know it was devastating on him mentally. He did the best he could given his situation and still shined on. He smiled and laughed and also had very hard days but was still strong as he can be. After a year of being in the hospital he finally was ready to leave and be on his own in his own brand new beautiful apartment. We were all so excited for him and he was ready to be independent outside of those hospital walls. He struggled with his new life but remained as strong as he could be. On Sunday he lost his battle. We don't have all the answers as to what happened right now and me and my family ask for privacy as we are still waiting on information ourselves. I would also like to say thank you to everyone that has reached out to me and my family with prayers and memories of my brother he was loved by so many of you and it shows.
