Wij zijn Tycho en Vita.

Na een ernstig skiongeluk liep Tycho een complete dwarslaesie op. Sindsdien is hij afhankelijk van een rolstoel. Ons leven veranderde voorgoed, maar we besloten vooruit te kijken en alles uit het leven te blijven halen.

Nu staat ons het mooiste avontuur te wachten: we verwachten ons eerste kindje.

Om straks samen voor onze baby te kunnen zorgen, moet ons huis toegankelijk worden. De belangrijkste aanpassing is een lift, zodat Tycho ook naar boven kan.

Wij hadden gedacht dat de gemeente (wmo) ons financieel zou ondersteunen met de noodzakelijke aanpassingen aan ons huis. Maar zoals het er nu voor staat, komt die steun er helaas niet.

We vinden het moeilijk om om hulp te vragen, maar we hopen dat jij ons wil helpen een veilig en toegankelijk thuis te creëren voor ons gezin.

Met jouw bijdrage help je ons niet alleen aan een lift, maar vooral aan de mogelijkheid om als gezin zo zelfstandig mogelijk samen te leven.

We are Tycho and Vita.

After a skiing accident, Tycho sustained a complete spinal cord injury and has been a wheelchair user ever since. Our lives changed forever, but we chose to keep looking ahead and make the most of life.

Now, our greatest adventure is about to begin: we are expecting our first child.

To make sure we can care for our baby together, our home needs to be made accessible. The most important adaptation is a lift, so Tycho can also access the upper floor.

We had hoped that our local municipality would help cover the cost of the necessary adaptations to our home. Unfortunately, it now seems that we will not receive the financial support we had counted on.

Asking for help is not easy for us, but we hope you will support us in creating a safe and accessible home for our growing family.

Your contribution will not only help us install a lift, but, more importantly, it will allow us to live together as independently as possible as a family.
