Een donatie voor onze zus Karima

It's only when something happens to your own sister that changes her whole life that you realize how vulnerable we all are and how nothing is 'far from your bed'.


Karima is the mother of Ilia and Sofia, happily married to Nadan. Over the years she has built up a nice business as a make-up artist and has thus given her family a cozy home.


Our sister Karima was struck in her sleep by a brain haemorrhage on April 21, 2021, while her husband had already left for work. Her children found her in bed but in their childish innocence did not know what to do and waited for their daddy, who around 6 pm found Karima in critical condition.


She was immediately transferred to the university hospital in Antwerp, where she underwent skull surgery that same night to prevent swelling.The chance of survival was very small, but against all odds, Karima survived this night. But she woke up a few days later to a harsh reality.

The brain haemorrhage that was only treated after 10am leaves Karima today with paralysis on her left side. As a result, Karima not only loses her independence and freedom, but also her dream of getting back to work due to the paralysis in her left arm.


Financial aid is very limited for the self-employed. And certainly for the long road ahead of Karima with her rehabilitation and psychological counseling for her children, for whom this experience was traumatic.

Any contribution would help us support Karima and her family. So that she can fully commit herself to reclaiming what has been taken from her.



And our sister can get back on track and take care of her family.

Het is pas wanneer je eigen zus iets overkomt dat haar hele leven omgooit, dat je beseft hoe kwetsbaar we allemaal zijn en hoe niets 'ver van je bed is'.

 

Karima is de mama van Ilia en Sofia, gelukkig getrouwd met Nadan. Door de jaren heen heeft ze een mooie zaak opgebouwd als visagiste en daarmee haar gezinnetje een gezellige thuis heeft gegeven.

 

Onze zus Karima werd op 21 april 2021 in haar slaap getroffen door een hersenbloeding, terwijl haar man reeds naar het werk vertrokken was. Haar kinderen troffen haar aan in bed maar wisten in hun kinderlijke onschuld niet wat te doen en hebben gewacht op hun papa, die rond 18u Karima in kritieke toestand aantrof.

 

Ze werd onmiddellijk naar het universitair ziekenhuis in antwerpen overgebracht, waar ze diezelfde nacht een schedel operatie onderging om zwellingen te voorkomen.

De kans op overleving was zeer klein, maar tegen alle verwachtingen in overleefde Karima deze nacht.

Maar ze werd enkele dagen later wakker in een harde realiteit.

 

De hersenbloeding die pas na 10u behandeld werd laat Karima vandaag achter met een verlamming aan haar linkerzijde. Hierdoor verliest Karima niet enkel haar zelfstandigheid en vrijheid, maar door de verlamming in haar linkerarm ook haar droom om ooit terug aan slag te gaan.

 

Voor zelfstandigen is financiële hulp zeer beperkt. En zeker voor de lange weg die Karima voor zich heeft met haar revalidatie en de psychologische begeleiding voor haar kinderen, voor wie deze ervaring traumatisch was.

 

 

Elke bijdrage zou ons helpen om Karima en haar familie te ondersteunen.

Zodat zij zich volledig kan toewijden aan het terugwinnen wat haar is weggenomen.

 

 

En onze zus terug de draad van haar leven kan opnemen en voor haar gezin kan zorgen.

Ce n'est que lorsque quelque chose arrive à votre propre sœur qui change toute sa vie que vous réalisez à quel point nous sommes tous vulnérables et à quel point rien n'est «loin de votre lit».

 

 

Karima est la mère d'Ilia et Sofia, heureusement mariée à Nadan. Au fil des années, elle a bâti une belle entreprise de maquilleuse et a ainsi offert à sa famille un foyer confortable.

 

 

Notre sœur Karima a été frappée dans son sommeil par une hémorragie cérébrale le 21 avril 2021, alors que son mari était déjà parti travailler. Ses enfants l'ont trouvée au lit mais dans leur innocence enfantine ne savaient pas quoi faire et ont attendu leur papa, qui vers 18 heures a trouvé Karima dans un état critique.

 

 

Elle a été immédiatement transférée à l'hôpital universitaire d'Anvers, où elle a subi une opération du crâne la même nuit pour éviter un gonflement. Les chances de survie étaient très faibles, mais contre toute attente, Karima a survécu cette nuit. Mais elle s'est réveillée quelques jours plus tard avec une dure réalité.

 

 

L'hémorragie cérébrale qui n'a été traitée qu'après 10 heures du matin laisse Karima aujourd'hui avec une paralysie du côté gauche. En conséquence, Karima perd non seulement son indépendance et sa liberté, mais aussi son rêve de reprendre le travail en raison de la paralysie de son bras gauche.

 

 

Les aides financières sont très limitées pour les indépendants. Et certainement pour le long chemin qui attend Karima avec sa rééducation et son accompagnement psychologique pour ses enfants, pour qui cette expérience a été traumatisante.

 

 

Toute contribution nous aiderait à soutenir Karima et sa famille. Pour qu'elle puisse s'engager pleinement à récupérer ce qui lui a été pris.

 

 

 

Et notre sœur peut se remettre sur les rails et s'occuper de sa famille.
