Tank’s Surgery.
Donation protected
Hi, My name is Lana, I’m Tank’s mom. Recently my dog has an abscess on his face. I took him to an emergency 24 hour vet which cost me thousands of dollars. This is his second day at VCA Meuller’s Veterinary Hospital. Tank has not ate any food for about 6 days now. He is currently on an IV and the vet has been draining his abscess. The vet said that Tank is no longer producing red blood cells & the fluid from the IV is not going into his veins, which causes the fluid to make his face squishy. They immediately took the IV out, yet they have to give him fluid to hydrate him as well. Which is very conflicting. They have to hydrate him to get him to pee yet when they do since the fluid can’t get into his veins it just makes him squishier.
At this point Tank has to go to a specialist at VCU Davis because the current vet does not have access to the special equipments that they have. The vet spoke to another specialist at VCU and was advised that Tank probably has a foxtail stuck inside of him and they would need to do a CT Scan on him, unfortunately since it Friday, it has to wait until Monday, they will then have to find the foxtail to remove it and then get him on a feeding tube. I’ve already spent thousands of dollars for the two days to keep Tank in the hospital and does not have access to anymore funds immediately. They advise the procedure at UC Davis will run me between 10k to 15k. (Attached is the estimated) I’m also attaching the other bills that I have paid for to keep him overnight. I usually would NOT need to do this and have never used gofundme, but I’m tapped out and I have to raise the funds immediately to get him to a specialist.
Tank wants to fight to live. Anything helps. I have until tonight at midnight to get the funds to transport him to UC DAVIS. Please help me help my son, Tank.
Thank YOU!!!
Transparency. This is the total cost estimate from VCA Meullers. The estimate from UC DAVIS will be higher because they are a specialist

UPDATE:
Thank you to everyone that zelle, cash app and donated to Tank’s gofundme for his emergency transfer to VCU Davis. I usually wouldn’t do that and handle it on my own, but I can’t access my funds that quickly and now I’m just buying more time for him until I can get him transferred. His condition is severe. The vet said that it’s the worst he’s seen in his entire career. Tank wouldn’t eat and couldn’t eat for the past 6 days. His red blood cell is hardly producing and they are afraid he might go septic. The I.V that they have in him would not go into his veins, instead they are staying on top and the fluid is just making his face more squishy. He’s low on every other thing, but I don’t remember all those medical terminology. The conflicting part is that he needs fluids to pee but the fluid is also making his face squishy since it won’t go inside his blood stream. He’s on day 6 of not eating because it makes him queasy. The vet previously said I’m just buying him time for him and he has a high probability of not making it. I cried my eyes out in front of him and that’s when Tank got up and walked to me. I knew he wanted me to save him. The vet then called me back and told me he called over to VCU Davis and they advised him that it is probably a foxtail that got into his nose or mouth and went deep into his face and that they would need to do a CT scan to find it and remove it with surgery. After surgery he would need a blood transfusion and get him on a feeding tube. Tank can be saved he said but it’s cruicial we get him there. They could not do that for me at VCA because they don’t have the CT scan machine because it cost millions. He doesn’t have access to the special equipments they have. For 3 nights total to stay at the medical center I had to pay upfront just about 7k now. They want everything upfront. Due to the severity of this nature, I have no choice but to ask for help. I was talking to Tank because the vet said he’s suffering if he wanted me to fight for him and Tank looked up with his eyes, and I knew he wanted to, so I am. I’m just happy that he can be saved and I’m going to do what it takes for him. Thank you everyone for the prayers, the donations for Tank’s transfer and for loving him as much as I do. I appreciate it!
