On behalf of my children, I come to you with a heavy heart. Their mother — the woman who brought them into this world and loved them unconditionally, has passed away.

She left behind three beautiful children who are now navigating a world that feels confusing without her in it. As a father, I am doing everything I can to help my children through the grief, but I know this is a wound that will take time, love, and meaning to begin to heal.

One of the things that brings us comfort is the idea of honoring her in a way that helps the children feel closer to her — even in her absence. She was born in San Diego, California — a place that held a special part of her story. It’s where her life began, where her roots were planted, and where we hope to return to, not just to visit, but to say goodbye in a way that’s full of love and significance.

I want to take the children to San Diego, to let them see where their mother came from and to return her ashes to the place where her story began. I believe this journey could be a powerful step in their healing — to turn sorrow into a moment of remembrance, connection, and peace.
