Help Cody kick cancers butt

Hi my name is Zoey and i am creating this fundraiser on behalf of my brother “in law” , Cody Grissom. Cody and my sister , Kaytlyn are MIDDLE school sweethearts. They married in January 2022 and welcomed their sweet little Reagan March 2023.

Cody has always been hardworking and willing to lend a hand. In the beginning of 2023 while preparing for the exciting arrival of their sweet baby Reagan , Cody began to experience extreme back pain. There were days that Cody was unable to work, being that he does construction and operates heavy equipment. Cody saw his family doctor, a chiropractor, several urgent cares, and many emergency rooms. Cody’s back pain was dismissed by most doctors due to his age, being only 27. After many test and scan Cody and Kaytlyn were starting to get some answers but nothing more than “we think”… it was not until Cody got a CT scan, that they paid for themselves due to insurance declined, that they were told the shocking results.

Cody has Stage 4 Wide Spread Metastatic Colon Cancer that has spread to his Lymph Nodes, and has spread to his bones. 

Cody has an Ostomy bag and is currently having Chemotherapy treatments that run for 46 hours at a time every 14 days. The chemo leaves Cody sick and in tremendous pain. Cody is starting hydration treatments 3 times a week to possibly help ease the pain. Cody does have insurance for now but, as we all know insurance does not cover everything and it will be ending soon, as the treatments have left Cody unable to work. Kaytlyn attends as many appointments as she is able to with her work schedule but she is missing work as well, and still having an infant too. Reagan is the bright spot in our family and keeps her sweet daddy inspired to keep fighting.

This young family is just getting started, the financial burden is exhausting all their resources and drastically changing their future. Cody and Kaytlyn have the biggest hearts and anyone who meets them will agree. All funds raised will be used to cover medical and living expenses, we are trying to get him to cleveland clinic to find more answers and help.
