Edyta Jaglowska Schiavoni

Hi, my name is Marco Schiavoni husband of Edyta Schiavoni, father of Gabriel, Filippo, and Stefan.

23 years ago when I was opening my pizzeria in Chicago. The only place to eat close by was a polish deli. I walked in and started pointing to the food I wanted to order since no one spoke English that worked there. This day was different because a woman approached me and asked "How can I help you?" and I was in shock and said "You speak English?" and that is when your deep blue eyes struck me. After that I started coming everyday. Until one day I left three roses on the windshield of your car with a note saying "Do you want to go out for a drink?" Two days passed and I got no answer. My crazy cousin came to you one day and had said in his broken English, "Go out with Marco he is a good guy." At the end of your shift you came into my pizzeria and the first thing you told me was "You should have left a name on the note"

That year my parents came for Christmas and we had a few dinners at her place and my mom met her and said " Marco, she is a great cook, her apartment is super clean, she is beautiful and so sweet. This is a woman you want to have a family with." After my moms blessing everything started coming we got a home, had 3 wonderful boys, business was booming, went on plenty of vacations together, we had everything going for us. We of course had our ups and downs, but no matter what we stayed together through thick and thin. Then you got sick and I started to watch your life slip away little by little, day by day. February 12th was the day you stopped fighting. I always said behind a great king is an even greater queen. Your strength and kindness completed this family and glued us together. You always had put your family before yourself, a big part of me died that day you passed. Like a soldier I will follow your orders my Queen until I see you again.
