Edward's Legacy: Supporting Future Leaders

Hey guys, my name is Shane. I'm 18, and since I was young, all I ever wanted to do was play in the NFL. Well, not just play, but dominate and have a lasting legacy on not just the game but those around me. Lucky enough, I had an uncle who not only played in the NFL but built a legacy for himself in his own community. Sadly, he passed away in April of 2022 and never got to see his legacy grow and flourish. Even though I no longer want to play in the NFL like my uncle, I still want that chance to not only create my own legacy but see to it that my uncle’s legacy never wanes.

I am asking for help to start a non-profit organization that would focus on providing Christian athletes with financial support, along with assistance in their walk with Christ, as well as help learning to be leaders of communities. This organization is near and dear to my heart because my uncle was that help for me. He helped me learn to be a great leader, he showed me what it looked like to carry God's grace with you and how to show it to others, and he taught me that no matter what the world wants us to be, the only opinion that matters is what our Heavenly Father thinks of us. Because of his immense help in my own life, I want to dedicate this organization to my uncle by naming it after the man himself: Edward’s Legacy.
