Hi, my name is Crystle Gomez, and my Uncle Duane Edward is in hospice. As the family sits vigil, they are trying to wrap their minds around how to afford the medical expenses and prepare for the inevitable final expenses. Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated. All proceeds will be give to Diane and John, Duane's loving wife and only son.
For those of you who knew my Uncle know how blessed his family and friends are, but for those of you who don't let me tell you: there are giants and there are men, but then there are men that stand as giants among other men; that was my Uncle. Yes, he was very tall, but mostly he was a giant among men, because of his inner strength and tranquility. His quiet presence always gave you peace, and you knew he had your back; no matter who you were. His quick wit and humor made laughter easy and free flowing. His intelligence reminded you that he might be a man of few words, but when he spoke you better be listening. He loved his wife of 51 years more than anything else on this planet. His son, John, was his steady and loving caregiver in this hard final year; like father like son, John would do anything for you and loves his Dad with his whole person. When Sadie was born he because his favorite role, Grandpa. He loved being a Grandpa and Great-Grandpa.
Our family will never be the same after this wonderful man passes, a great man gone and a generational chapter comes to a close.
