People say you can’t put a price on a life but when it comes to trying to beat cancer and live, the price is astronomical. 

On July 12, 2020, I knew something was wrong but I had no idea how bad it could actually be. A day later I was hospitalized and told I have a Brain tumor. On July 16, 2020, I underwent a craniotomy for a biopsy which confirmed that i had a rare form of brain cancer called Anaplastic Astrocytoma. I never would have imagined that at the age of 47, I would start my fight for life nor did I understand the cost associated with that fight. Surgery, chemotherapy and radiation therapy is what’s needed. I believe that god will give me the strength, courage and perseverance needed to fight this fight. I want to be able to see my granddaughter grow up, I want to give my daughters away at their weddings, there’s so much more left that I want to experience and memories I want to make with those I love. That is what I am fighting for.
