Edward's 748 mile fundraiser for 1st Hartford Scouts

Hello, I’m Edward and between 20th July 2024 and 28th February 2025 I’ve challenged myself to run or walk 748 miles (1203.79 km) – the distance between my home and Kandersteg in Switzerland.

I’m doing this to help raise money for 1st Hartford Scouts in Cheshire, Explorer and Network members who will be travelling to Kandersteg in Summer 2025 for an unforgettable experience in an incredible location!

I haven’t really run before so I am going to be doing a Couch to 5k which will help me build the miles up. I’ll also be counting the distances I walk too so it will all add up.

I know the distance isn’t short – in fact it’s 23 miles per week, or 3.4 miles per day!

The money will be put towards the overall target of £60,000 to allow 60 young people and leaders from our unit to have an experience of a lifetime.
