Edward Needs Our Help & Prayers
Donation protected
Edward is in need of your help. Edward is a bright, loving, caring and kind hearted human but unfortunately that kind heart needs your support! Edward Ambert, is a 19 year old originally from and still currently resides in New York City. He was diagnosed with an intellectual disability at an early age. Edward has had many difficult battles to overcome during his life and he now has one more battle and needs your help, now more than ever!
Upon arrival to the hospital, Edward was fighting for his life. Edward was visiting his family in Pennsylvania when he suddenly had heart failure and his lungs collapsed. He was rushed to the hospital where he was in critical condition and was put on a ventilator. Edward has been in the hospital for over a month now. During that time, his heart stopped for four minutes and he had a major stroke paralyzing his entire right side of his body from his head down to his toes. We are happy to share he is currently showing signs of improvement and his heart has been continuing to get stronger. The hospital is currently working very hard to make sure Edward has everything he needs in the meantime. We are hoping that Edward can soon be transferred to a hospital based in New York where he can be closer to family and loved ones. There, he will need extensive and aggressive therapy which his current hospital and many hospitals can’t provide. Edward and his family are staying positive and Edward continues to battle each day.
Edward currently attends a special education school within New York. There he is learning very important life skills, and job training skills with the hopes of being employed once he graduated from high school. Edward loves school as well as his teachers and friends. Edward truly loves and enjoys participating in his job trainings, working at the Tao restaurant group, Battery Park City Authority and Burlington. There he is loved by all of his job coaches.
Your support can make all the difference in Edward's life. By donating to his GoFundMe campaign, you'll help cover the expenses associated with this difficult time for both Edward and his family. Your contribution will not only give Edward a chance at a healthy future and having him get back to his friends and family in New York.
Expecting nothing, they've cautiously and humbly allowed a GoFundMe to be established. Your thoughtful contribution, regardless of amount, holds immense value. Each small act of giving combines to alleviate the financial weight on the family. If nothing else please send prayers for Edward and his family!
Thank you for your support and for taking the time to hear Edward's story.
