Educational Video Creation for K-5 Learning
Donation protected
I am Andrew Urata, a teacher in the California, San Francisco, Bay Area. I have five years of full-time teaching experience in California public schools. The grades that I have taught are 5th, 4th, and 1st grade. Prior to that, I was a substitute teacher for a year and volunteered in an educational setting for many years before that. I also have many years of professional photography and videography experience.
I would like to make videos on educational content that students struggle with the most. Students are tasked to grapple new content, almost daily. This makes it difficult for students who need more time to truly understand the academics being taught. Even the most excellent of teachers struggle to reach every single student. While there are many educational videos online, many of the quality videos are hidden behind a pay-wall that our most disadvantaged students cannot access. My hope is to create a video library that will help teachers, parents, and ultimately students find another way to access the information that will unlock their potential to flourish.
I am requesting $6,000 to help jumpstart this project to provide free, high-quality, educational content to the public.
