Hello, my name is Tiffani and I am a high school student from San Francisco. College Track, a program that that helps low-income, first-generation students like me go to college, urged me to apply for “The Island School” located in Eleuthera, The Bahamas. The program consists of being actively engaged in the tropical environment all while learning about Marine Science, Human Ecology, and the culture of the country's native people.
I am incredibly excited to be an active participant and immerse myself into the environment by scuba diving and snorkeling with others who share the same passion.  But the most important aspect of this program is the learning experience. As someone very interested in the medical field, I would have the chance to get a head start on hands-on experience in the field and develop a strong sense of independence.
I have never had the luxury to travel within or outside the country, so this opportunity would equip me with a chance to expand my horizons and break out of my shell. I am currently in a health pathway at school, and by being a student at The Island School this summer, it will enable me to grow as a person, student, and future health professional. The only thing that's keeping me back from being a part of this wonderful program is paying for the flights. With your donation, I can travel to the program and experience this once in a lifetime opportunity!
