Educational Theatre in Nepal is collecting funds to provide school supplies for approximately 30 children at Shree Sita Devi Primary School in Sirachowk-8, Jaubari, Gorkha. Established in 2046 BS, the school is located in a remote village in Gorkha. Based on the school's proposal, we aim to provide each student with three dozen notebooks, three dozen pencils, erasers, sharpeners, and school bags for the upcoming 2025 academic session.
Educational Theatre in Nepal is a non-profit organization dedicated to driving social development and fostering social change. We address a wide range of issues, including gender equality, human rights, women's empowerment, children's education, and the promotion of kindness and compassion. A distinctive aspect of our work is the use of theatrical methods as tools to engage hearts and minds, creating awareness through entertainment.
Our performances are interactive and inspiring, fostering friendly environments where children, families, and communities can openly ask difficult questions and share their struggles. This innovative approach is designed to ultimately build and promote resilient communities.
Our performances take place in streets, public spaces, traditional meeting areas, schools, shelter homes, and other institutions, engaging alternative and often spontaneous audiences. At the core of our philosophy is the belief that "the community is a stage." Our activities employ theatrical and educational methods to bridge the gap between society and education.
