Educational center for Roma Children in Kosovo

Imaginatorium, an educational center for Roma children in Graçanica, Kosovo.


What is it about?


During my last summer in the workcamps organized by GAIA  in the Roma neighborhood of Gracanica, Kosovo, I met some extraordinary children.

     







These children, although having fewer opportunities than many others, have managed to make great projects such as: small films, concerts, photography, theater, building musical instruments, among many other things. All of this made possible with the help of Imaginatorium , a project of NGO GAIA .

Throughout the year, the volunteers of Imaginatorium help the Roma children with the school subjects, such as maths or english. They also do their best to offer non-formal education through artistic activities and games; they give them the unique opportunity to broadcast and express their creativity. 






What do I ask for?


The Imaginatorium center has many ideas and projects in mind that cannot come to life due to lack of funding. I saw a lot of enthusiasm on behalf of the volunteering team, but as you may imagine, passion and hard work alone is not enough sometimes.



I would like to ask for financial help, in order to pay for school material, the rent of the activity center and the bills. That money would enable them to continue their activities which are so important for the childhood development in that Roma community. It is not much for us, but for them it is a great help.



Help me help them. Help me to continue this beautiful project.
