Hi, my name is Melissa Strickland. Horses have always been a part of my life, and they've shaped who I am in every season of it. I feel called to help people build deeper, calmer, more connected partnerships with their horses - especially adopted wild mustangs who often end up misunderstood, stressed, or sent from home to home because their new owners don't know how to support them.
I've been accepted into West Taylor's Science-Based Trainer Program, which focuses on understanding the horse's brain, nervous system regulation, biomechanics, and how to train in a way that creates safety, trust, and long-term success for both the horse and the human.
This training will allow me to:
-Help adopted mustangs transition into domestic life with less fear and stress.
-Teach people how to connect with their horses through clarity instead of force.
-Support horses and humans who are struggling to understand one another.
-Build a full-time career doing work that truly matters.
The cost of the program, travel, and materials is more than I can cover on my own, so I am asking for support. Your contribution helps me step into this path fully so I can continue helping both horses and the people who love them.
Whether you donate or share, your support means so much. Thank you for believing in this work.
-Melissa
