Education Support for Soffia

Family, Friends, and some of you who we may have never met or even know us at all. In any event how you found this page is of no importance, I am just grateful to God that you are here. The beautiful photo above is our princess Soffia and she needs our help!

At the age of three she received a diagnosis of Developmental Delay and Sensory Processing Disorder and by age 5; we received additional diagnosis' of Intellectual disibility and Anxiety disorder; falling on the Autism Spectrum.

Soffia has spent her childhood in and out of therapist and doctor's offices to insure she received the best care and early intervention to overcome and to ensure she maintained the best quality of life in spite of. As her parents we are super proud of her resilience and her naturally joyful spirit despite the challenges that have been presented. Those of you who have had the pleasure of meeting her know how much you have been blessed by her personally.

Despite our best efforts; Soffia has begun to regress in her progress educationally. The challenges during COVID-19 presented setbacks and additionally, Soffia's transition to middle school has been to say at the least a nightmare for her. Her current attendance to public school has caused some neurological regression because of the inability of this setting to provide the resources she needs to be successful educationally; leaving Soffia, who is more than capable of learning and making progress to fall through the cracks and subject to become a special needs child lost in a system.

Her Father and I have fought continuously and believe at this time the best option for our child is to enroll her in a school that is designed for children who have these diagnosis and learning challenges like those of Soffia. Our goal is that Soffia is educated properly and given the chance to have a successful, great quality of life as an independent adult. This can be made completely possible with your help and support. Despite our best efforts in sheilding Soffia and providing her with in environment that is viable for her success; we can no longer manage this alone. We are most grateful for all the support we've received from our small circle who have so graciously assisted us in managing her care but this is now bigger than our circle of care and we need the help of any who have access to resources; to help make the vision for our princess a reality.

We have gone through extensive testing and received an acceptance at Ignite Achievement Academy(https://igniteachievementacademy.com) where Soffia would receive an education tailored to her specifically with an accreditation to graduate and receive a high school diploma with a chance to enter college if she so chooses. Unfortunately, this great opportunity doesn't come without a price. We are working to raise Soffia's initial deposit of $6500 and so we are asking if you are able to donate to this cause any amount please do as well as share with others who may be willing to.
