Education not Incarceration by BBA
Beyond Bars Akademia enables women formerly incarcerated to receive hospitality education as a way of integration and prevent recidivism. To ensure the success of its program, Beyond Bars provides education, housing, employment and mental health counselling to support their reintegration and their community.
Last year marked the 1st promotion of the organisation with 70% of our graduates, now placed and working in our lovely industry.
This crowdfunding is an opportunity for BBA to secure 25,000$ in funding for their premises, which will allow 150 students to be welcomed this year.
“As a group, we are committed to help women formerly incarcerated in need with tools and opportunities to help them improve their conditions and realize their fullest potential,” said BBA Executive Director Stephanie Simbo.
We believe education not incarceration.
