Education Funding Appeal

Background

In July of 2022, the Eric Woodward Foundation, (the "EW Foundation"), in Langley awarded a four-year full-ride scholarship to a student with a unique background. The scholarship was her only means to attend university. She completed two years at the prestigious University of British Columbia with outstanding achievements. Regrettably, the EW Foundation abruptly cancelled the scholarship without any notice.

Financial Need

The remaining two years of her education is expected to be $18,000.00 with any extra amount raised to be donated to a local Langley charity that supports youth and education. This student dreams of becoming an audiologist. Without this financial support, she may not achieve this goal.

Call to Action

This GoFundMe campaign is set up to replace the unfairly cancelled scholarship. The student prefers to remain anonymous and we ask that her privacy be respected. I, Rebecca L. Darnell, am leading this campaign and encourage everyone to contribute.

Personal Note

As Albert Schweitzer, a Nobel Prize winner, once said, "Sometimes our light goes out but is blown into flame by another human being. Each of us owes deepest thanks to those who have rekindled this light."
