Tami Devine Fagan loved her two children, Zoe and Jack Fagan, fiercely and unconditionally. She talked constantly about their intelligence and sensitivity, Zoe's drive and independence, Jack's kindness and humor. She loved their questions and passion for learning.
As a tribute and memorial to Tami, I am asking for donations to an education fund for her children. Tami talked often about how she wanted her children to have no limits to their education. As an educator and then and education administrator herself, Tami fought constantly for young people to receive a college education, despite difficult financial circumstances. I remember her saying on numerous occasions that she would work until she was 95 if it meant Jack and Zoe weren't limited in their learning.
For those of you who don't know me, my name is Hannah Watkins, and I was a student at the University of Saint Joseph, and later an employee. Tami was my mentor, teacher, supervisor, and friend. I babysat Jack and Zoe when they were small, and played with them when they visited the office. I've enjoyed watching them grow and mature since 2011, and, like Tami, I have high hopes for their futures.
Thank you for anything you give, and please feel free to contact me with any questions. I consulted both legal and financial experts before creating this GoFundMe and discussed various ways to collect and hold the funds. With their advice, my plan is that donations will be evenly divided and placed into current or new 529 accounts to be utilized by Jack and Zoe when they graduate from high school.
