Education Fund for Lax Family

We are sad to share the news of the unexpected passing of Alfred Lax, father of St. Francis Senior Aaliyah Lax.  Al was the devoted husband to Kim and father to Aaliyah, Leslie, Anthony, Allen, DeShawn, Alecha & Alexis.  Al died in his sleep on January 7th at the age of 60.

The last year has been a difficult year for everyone and now for the Lax family an additional hardship to bear.  Like many of us, it is the wish of the Lax family for their children to continue onto higher education.  And with the loss of Al it has put an unexpected burden on the family.  For those of you who know Aaliyah, she has been a member of the Varsity Water Polo team at St. Francis and a valued member of the St. Francis community.    Aaliyah commutes to St. Francis from Oakland and prior to his passing we would often see Al faithfully waiting for Aaliyah in the parking lot after school or practice.  

We are so grateful for our community and the way we celebrate to lift each other in times of success and support each other in the times of hardship.  We hope you can help to support the Lax family during this time.
