Obituary for Jason Richardson

It is with profound sadness that we announce the tragic passing of Jason Richardson on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, in his 41st year.

Beloved son of Wendy Hay (Ken) and Grant Richardson (Marilyn), Jason was a proud father to Khloe and Kiera, who were the lights of his life. He will be deeply missed by their mother, Crystal, and by the girls’ cherished brothers, Tyler and Aiden.

Jason was a loving brother to Kate Murray (Andrew) and uncle to Owen and Ethan. He will also be missed dearly by his aunts and uncles: Bill (Lisa), Karen, Connie (Darren), Gary (Sue), and Wayne (Shawn). Jason is survived by his grandparents Mary and Bill Hay, and Joan Richardson, and is predeceased by his grandfather, Frank Richardson. He leaves behind many cousins, extended family, and friends who will feel his absence deeply.

Jason had a passion for fishing and the outdoors, where he found peace and joy. He was also a tremendous hockey player, known for his skill, sportsmanship, and love of the game. His kindness, humour, and gentle spirit touched the lives of many.

In his memory, an education fund has been established for his daughters, Khloe and Kiera, to help support their future.
