Education Fund for Clark Lockyer
Donation protected
The Bowmore community would like Luke's son, Clark, to know how Bowmore will forever remember and honour his dad, a treasured teacher and friend to many. We want to raise funds that will go directly to Luke's wife, Lauren, to be put aside for Clark to help with continuing education costs.
Here is a portion of the lovely tribute to Luke.
Luke Allan Lockyer February 10, 1981 - April 17, 2022
Be curious, not judgmental - Ted Lasso
Luke passed away peacefully, on a beautiful and sunny day, with his family by his side. After a long battle with brain cancer, he rolled a Nat 1 and decided it was time for his next big campaign.
Despite cancer, Luke always lived life to the fullest. His laugh would fill a room, and he was always easy with a smile. He enjoyed Dungeons and Dragons, karaoke, Magic the Gathering, dancing, travel, movies, and above all, spending time with his beloved family.
Luke had a varied career, from working at Blockbuster, to Fido and Rogers, and finally, finding his passion with teaching. Every day he went into school, he came home lit up with stories to tell about his day. His family at Bowmore have always been close to his heart, and he was so honored to be part of that community.
Luke will be forever missed by those that loved him. There was nothing quite like a “Luke hug”, and the way he could make you feel with being around. His wife, Lauren, son, Clark, and dog, Skipper, will always cherish the time that we were able to spend with him and the love that was shared with us.
Luke is survived by his loving wife, Lauren, his cherished son, Clark, his cherished mother and father, Rosalee and Allan Lockyer, his younger, but more manly, brother, Mosher Lockyer, grandfather, Bill Knox, mother- and father-in-law, Janet and Daniel McCutchon, grandmother-in-law, Delores Burella, and countless loving and supportive cousins, aunts and uncles. He was predeceased by his grandfather and grandmother, Herb and Greta Peppard, and grandmother, Maisie Knox.
