Have you heard about what has been happening in Myanmar (Burma) since February 2021?
Have you been looking for ways to help?
Just when the country was moving forward toward progress and freedom, the Military decided they wanted to stay in power and staged a coup. They arrested officials in power and countless people who took to the streets to protest in civil disobedience. Unwilling to give up power, the country is now in a restless civil war. Many civilians have left their homes to seek refuge elsewhere.
Many children have been displaced especially in terms of academics. Many youth and former teachers have volunteered to help keep schools running on camps. They have no resources and funds to run schools efficiently, but proceed with the little resources they have. Education is important in building up a community and instilling hope.

and so much more. They are desperate for any supplies they can get. Imagine all the utensils and technology used in the west, but they are starting with nothing. It takes faith to start schools with just students and volunteers, but we should give them hope; hope for a better future. They need us to help keep their schools running even in the midst of war.
A group of youth from Dallas, Texas will be going in the summer of 2022 to deliver these supplies personally. Not only will they go there to learn more about the specific needs the Chin people have, they will also go to schools to help teach these students and provide resources for the teachers to grow.
We will keep accepting donations even after they come home from Myanmar(Burma). The funds will directly go to the schools and students who need supplies. They have told us, how they have been able to do nothing because there was no fund to do so. We were stunned to hear just how little they had and amazed by their will to keep pushing forward. The teachers have volunteered, with no pay, but for the love they have for their people and country. Let us find it in our hearts to help children with the sole desire to learn and teachers who just want to see their kids to succeed. They need our help! You and I need to be the difference makers, let us be the stepping stones they need on their path to success and freedom!
