My name is Jodie roberts I am an epileptic and have been since I was 14. Unfortunately throughout my life I have experienced severe accidents from seizures which have led to surgeries on my face and my body because of the damage caused. I have recently been taking courses that have given me the knowledge to pass on to others who may not be aware what to do when they are in a situation where someone is having a seizure. Due to the lack of awareness and knowledge surrounding epilepsy I am aiming to start a charity that will allow me to go into schools and places of work and educate those who may be put in situations where they are unable to help those having a seizure. As people may be aware it is scary seeing someone having a seizure if you are not used to this. Throughout my diagnosis I have had children and my son who was 8 at the time saved my life as I was drowning in the bath having a seizure. To start my charity there is a 2000 fee to register as a charity. And I am running the Chester 10k marathon this year in hopes I will raise awareness and reach my goal to start my journey on helping others become confident with their knowledge about epilepsy. I appreciate you reading my post and hope everyone can see what I am trying to accomplish ❤️
