Education for Change: Empower Young Women in Tanzania

Dan and I were lucky enough to volunteer in Tanzania for Mizzi Ya Manfanikio (MYM), an incredible organisation founded by 3 young friends - Fanny, Katia & Linus.

Alongside many other impactful initiatives, MYM currently supports 14 young women, providing them with housing, meals, healthcare, mentorship, and most importantly, access to a range of vocational courses - hotel management, information technology and tour operations.

Our time at the college was a powerful reminder of how privileged we are. The experience reinforced our responsibility to look outward, consider others before ourselves, and recognise our collective duty to help those less fortunate. For us, education is a given, for the girls, it is a rare and life changing opportunity - one that not only transforms their own lives but also the future of their families.
