Jesse Schaffer Family Legacy Education Fund
Donation protected
As most of you know our hearts are forever shattered. Our son Jesse Randall Schaffer passed away unexpectedly September 28, 2021.
Jesse leaves behind his beautiful wife Renee and their two daughters Avery and baby Maeve. Avery will turn 9 in October and baby Maeve will be 1 in January.
Many people have seen Jesse’s obituary and our request, that in lieu of flowers we ask for contributions to the girls education fund. The funeral home is setting up the account now but it will take several days. In the meantime, this account will be available.
For those of you who did not know Jesse. He was an amazing man, father, husband, son, brother and service man. At a very young age he knew he wanted to be a Marine. We believe Mark Harmon from NCIS drove that desire.
He was a talented drum player and was a picky eater in his younger years.
He followed his dream and completed his Marine calling at Paris Island. He would later be discharged with Military honors. He went on to become a Firefighter and EMT just like his brother Jonathan. Then enrolled to became an Ohio State trooper.
In 2018, he was honored to be chosen to be an Oakwood Police Officer, the application pool was about 200-300 applicants. Working for Oakwood was a dream officer role. He was chosen and live by all!
Jesse continue to celebrate his life when he meet his best friend and future wife Renee Depoy in 2015. The love of each other lives. Renee’s love came with a special bonus, their daughter Avery. Together the three of them conquered the world. Living life at large and becoming a beautiful family. This year they were pleased to introduce Baby Maeve, our “little frog”. She became the apple of her daddy’s eye and stole the hearts of her grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Outside of law enforcement and his family, Jesse was an advent weight lifter and had a love for dogs.
His family would not be complete without Stormi and Bear.
In lieu of flowers, we ask that contributions be made to Our Granddaughter’s Education Fund.
We are grateful for the out pouring of love and many messages on how to contribute.
Our son who smiled endlessly will be forever grateful!
With much love and care,
The Schaffer’s and Depoy’s
