Education is Precious

Hello! We are a group of seniors at Northern Highlands Regional High School in Allendale, New Jersey, and we are supporting Precious Mhlanga through the Wells Mountain Foundation.

Each year, the Wells Mountain Foundation funds students from developing and impoverished nations seeking a college education. The Wells Mountain Foundation supports students who have a desire to better their country and community through the Empowerment Through Education Program. The goal of the scholarship is for the students, upon completing their studies, to return to their country and use their education in order to make a positive impact on their community. After looking through numerous applications, we have chosen to support Precious Mhlanga, a 29-year old girl from Swaziland who hopes to one day become a teacher.
Precious has spent numerous years volunteering in her home country of Swaziland, and would like to continue to support her community through teaching. However, despite her excellent grades, her financial situation prevents her from affording her college tuition. We are hoping to raise the money before we graduate in 2016, to send Precious to school in Swaziland for the next three years. We would really appreciate any and all donations. After learning about the tough conditions in Africa and the low availability of education and teachers, we are hoping that by educating Precious, she can help to begin alleviating some of the many problems facing her community today.
Not only will our group be thankful for your help, but Precious and her community will be eternally thankful for your contributions. What you are doing will help so many people in both tangible and intangible manners.
Thank you so much for your help,
Kim Edmonds, Madison Cullinan, Brian Donahue, Carolyn Pontoriero, Max Mahan, Nolan Stern, Matthew O’Neill, Alec Stewart, Gabriella Dedvukaj, Evan Knutzen, Greg Lomuti, David Rimland, and Anthony Lutri
