Educate underprivileged children & save their school!!
Donation protected
As many of you may know, last summer I volunteered in Ghana to teach English at an extremely deprived school. This changed my whole perspective on life, and made me appreciate so much more.
This year, I have decided to give back once again. This year however, I will be flying to Kenya to volunteer in a small community. During my time there, I will be helping at the local orphanage, preparing and serving food, helping coach sports (despite the fact I am the least sporty person ever!) and spend most of my time at the school teaching essential life skills, English, maths and science. I have chosen this non-profit organisation as I believe its ethics and values align with my own. They strive for global change and development in small communities. In addition, they promote change and better the lives of so many underprivileged children.
Bethesda development Organisation provided quality education for over 70 students in a small town called Kitale, in Kenya. With the help of donations and volunteers, the school is able to provide education and food for all children. The children who attend this school all come from disadvantaged backgrounds, including those without parents.
Currently, Bethesda Education rent out the land they use for their school. The owner of the land is terminally ill, and therefore as soon as she is gone, the land will be up for sale. Others are likely to seize the opportunity and buy the land, putting the school at risk.
Because of this, I am asking for your help. Any donation, no matter how big or how small is so so greatly appreciated.
Thank you so much!!
